From beginning to end, Mike Saunders and Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home's staff were wonderful to work with. Mike has the perfect blend of professionalism and personal warmth. We really appreciated his guidance through this difficult time. Every question was answered and concerns addressed. He and his staff, working quietly in the background, made the day of the funeral go smoothly. Thank you for all that you did to make a difficult time easier to navigate.
Mrs Grover taught all of our kids. They liked her very much. A great lady. She will be missed by all her families and all friends!! God Bless Her!!!
While I was not a relative of Maybelle Downey's I was an in home caregiver with her. Mae was 99 years young when I met her and I was honored to be in attendance for her 100th and 101 birthday celebrations. Saunders & McFarlin's arrangements for the visitation, assistance in transportation to St. Joseph's for Mass and funeral processing to Mae's final feasting place in the Capron Cemetery was the tradition of excellence and comfort for family and friends. It was raining and the seating and shelter at the cemetery was all in place. As the graveside service was ending the rain stopped, the winds calmed and the whiporwills were singing and circling in the sky above. All messages that Mae was with her beloved husband and they were smiling down on us from Heaven above.
The staff at Saunders and McFarlin made everything about dads passing as easy as possible. Though most of the funeral had been arranged several years ago there were some things that still needed to be finalized. Their caring and compassionate personalities made organizing everything easy. I will be forever thankful to them for the very gentle way they cared for my father.
We are always interested in hearing from the families that we serve. Please take a moment to let us know how well we served you in your time of need. We very much appreciate your feedback.
