William "Bill" Huebsch Obituary

William “Bill” Huebsch, 90, died Wednesday, November 30, 2022, at The Minneapolis Veterans Home in Minneapolis, MN.  He was born October 31, 1932, in Lowell, IN to Floyd and Della (Ripee) Huebsch.

Bill was happily married for 56 years to Jean Maxine Huebsch, until her passing in 2012. Bill was an Army veteran, proudly serving from 1953-1954. He retired from Ameritech after 36 years.  He and Maxine bought some acreage in the Galena area where they could focus on activities they enjoyed, remodeling an old farmhouse, raising some chickens, and fishing.  After 10 years they returned to McHenry County to be nearer to family.  Before and after retirement, Bill was an avid outdoorsman.  He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening.  When his daughters would pass on hunting and fishing trips, he had plenty of nephews more than happy to join him.  He enjoyed sitting outside watching the grill or a sunset and enjoying an icy cold Pabst Blue Ribbon.  He often said, "I'm a lucky guy, I've had a good life"

He is survived by three daughters, Cindy (Rich) Farrell of Woodstock, Mary (Joe) CaDavid of Waynesboro, TN and Amy (Brad) May of Lakeville, MN, 8 grandchildren, Jennifer (Jerry) Stoneburner, Katie Farrell, Lindsay (Raul) Gallo, Calder (Leslie) CaDavid, Adelyn (Corey)Brainerd, Luke CaDavid, Hannah (Patrick) Fitzgibbons, and Elizabeth May, 2 great grandchildren Ayden and Ava Farrell-Grizely, and many nieces and nephews.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents Floyd and Della Huebsch, his wife Maxine, his brothers Eddie, Dick (Betty) Huebsch, Bob (Betty) Huebsch, his sisters Mary (Bill) Freund, and Dorothy (Paul) Holiday, brother and sister in law, Jim and Marilyn Stone, brothers in law, Mike Foley, Bruce Stone and Don Stone.

Celebration of Life will be at a later date, hosted in the new year. A private burial will take place at Big Foot Cemetery.
