Wayne C. Bredehorst

Wayne C. Bredehorst, 80, of Harvard, passed away on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at Mercyhealth Hospital in Harvard.

Wayne was born June 13, 1944 to John and Gladys (Huelbig) Bredehorst in Paterson, NJ.  He married Patricia Siciliano in New York on January 12, 1969 and he served proudly in Vietnam in the Marines.  For over 45 years, Wayne rode horses and enjoyed the time he spent riding at BraveHeart Therapeutic Riding in Harvard.

Survivors include his wife Patricia, brother Roger Bredehorst, sisters-in-law Kathleen Moreland, Angela Vuolo, and Cookie Bredehorst, and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Bredehorst, nephew Jerry Bredehorst, and sister-in-law Ida Bredehorst.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 19, 2024, from 5 PM until 7 PM at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033. Visitation will also be held from 11 AM until the 12 noon Mass on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at The Church of Holy Apostles, 5211 Bull Valley Road, McHenry, IL 60050.
