Veronica Cortez

Veronica L. Cortez, age 43, of Rockford, IL passed away in Rockford on Thursday, May 4, 2023.

She was born September 5, 1979, in Harvard, IL to Eduardo and Colleen (Conant) Cortez.

She is survived by her long-time boyfriend Bernadino Reynoso, her son Aiden Reynoso, siblings Gloria (Manuel) Terrazas of Belvidere, IL, Angelita Gudorf of Blanchester, OH, Fatima Cortez of Harvard, and Nicasio Cortez of Harvard, as well as her niece and nephews, Anais, Samuel, Felix, and Lucas.

Veronica was preceded in death by her parents, Eduardo and Colleen Cortez; her grandparents, Cletus and Doris Conant and Nicasio and Herminia Cortez, as well as her aunts and uncles Allen Conant, Brad Conant Sr., Byrne Conant Sr., and Teresa Cortez.   

A memorial gathering will be held from 5pm to 8pm on Friday, May 12 at Saunders and McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033.
