Tristan Marcus Alan Gehrke

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we announce the untimely passing of Tristan Marcus Alan Gehrke.

Tristan was born on October 15, 2022, in Huntley, Illinois, the son of Jacquelyn Stepanek and Austin Gehrke. He had recently started crawling and loved dancing the cha-cha. Tristan had the biggest, brightest blue eyes and his smile could light up any room. Tristan was the happiest baby and so full of life. He had started saying his first words – mama and da-da. Tristan loved playing with Sadi the dog and his twin brother Bryson and big sister Kendall. He loved being in his bouncer and going to daycare at Brown Bear. Tristan was sweet and sociable and loved being with people. Tristan absolutely loved popsicles. He was new to life, and he enjoyed all that he could.

Tristan is survived by his parents Jacquelyn Stepanek and Austin Gehrke; twin brother Bryson Gehrke; sister Kendall Worley; maternal grandparents Satrina and Ronald Yates; paternal grandparents Dawn and Lowell Bauman; great-grandma Joann Ibsh; aunt Rachel Reinholm; uncle Niraj Velummylum ; uncle Devon (Ashley) Gehrke; aunt Summer Bauman; cousins Elidi and Dawson; and beloved dog Sadi.

Tristan was preceded in death by his grandpa Mark Gehrke; great-grandpa Lynn Ibsh; and uncle Alex Bauman.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 24, 2023, from 11 AM until the 1 PM service at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033.
