Susan J Waldschmidt

Susan J. Waldschmidt (Galovich), 58, of Harvard passed away unexpectedly at her home on November 25, 2018.

She was born November 2, 1960, in Chicago, in Chicago to the late Thomas and Carol Galovich (Blaski). She was raised in Des Plaines and was a 1978 graduate of Main West High School. Shortly after graduation, she married the late Charles Waldschmidt in August of 1983, and moved shortly thereafter to a home on Hebron Rd; where they raised their daughter Amy. During this time, Sue lived out her dream and was able to embrace the hard work, the outdoors, and every animal under her care.

Sue has spent the past 32 years working at Kozy Nook, brightening the days of all she met. She will be dearly missed by many.

Survivors include her daughter Amy Waldschmidt, mother Carol Galovich; step-children Lisa (Joe) Jones, and Jimmy (Kecia) Waldschmidt; six grandchildren; two brothers Steve (Julie) Galovich of Barrington, IL, and Jeff (Cheri) Galovich of Schaumburg, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.    

Visitation will be on Saturday, December 1, 2018, from 12-4 p.m. at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St. Harvard, IL 60033.
