Steven Lee Morris

Steven Lee Morris, 67, of Harvard, IL passed away on September 17, 2024. Steve was born on May 23, 1957, in Harvard, IL, the son of William and Marilyn (Ashcraft) Morris.

After high school, Steve proudly served in the US Navy. Steve worked as a cement truck driver upon returning to civilian life. He was a Fellow at the Moose Lodge in Harvard, and a lifelong fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Chicago Cubs. Steve supported Harvard and Big Foot High School sports. Steve was an avid golfer and enjoyed his time on the green with his golfing buddies Terry McEnaney, Marty Powell, and Kevin Rutchik. Steve was a proud father and delighted in sharing his children’s accomplishments.

Steve is survived by his children Adam (Joshua) Morris of Chicago, IL, Kyle (Brittany) Morris of Durand, IL, Marcy (Tom) Usalis of Palatine, IL, and Lucas Morris of Walworth, WI and University of Wisconsin, Whitewater; grandchildren Lydia and Ethan Usalis of Palatine, IL and Juniper Morris of Durand, IL; sisters Karen Rutchik of Mesa, AZ and Kathi Rhodes of Woodstock, IL; and his former wives and mothers of his children, Cori (Townsend) Morris and Diana (Nolen) Jenkins.

He was preceded in death by his parents and many beloved aunts and uncles on both the Morris and Ashcraft sides.

A graveside service will be held at Mt. Auburn Cemetery at 1 PM on Friday, September 27, 2024, 20501 Brink St., Harvard, IL 60033. In Steve's memory, please wear your Cubs, Steelers, or sports fan gear and join the family in a celebration of Steve’s life at the Harvard Moose Lodge from 3 until 7 PM on Friday, September 27, 2024, 22500 Route 173, Harvard, IL 60033. Food and refreshments will be served.
