Rosa Maria Ruiz

Rosa Maria Ruiz, 61, of Chicago, IL passed away unexpectedly on January 8, 2024.

Rosa was born on October 7, 1963, in Tabasco Zac, Mexico.

Rosa had many hobbies including helping anyone who needed it, collecting a variety of elephants, and spending any moment she had with her family. She loved going out with her friends and traveling, seeing any place she could, sharing her adventures through Facebook. Rosa and her mother would bond over their love of the casino, it was their favorite pastime together. 

She is survived by her children Marylyn, Didia, and Marco; her grandchildren Karime, Erika, Alessandra, Luis, Ximena, Camila, Abdiel and Jayden; her great-granddaughter Alanie and soon to be born great-grandbabies; her mother Rosa Maria Ruiz; and her siblings Liborio, Araceli, Jesus and Amalia. 

Rosa was preceded in death by her grandmother Jesusa Avila 

Visitation will be held from 4 until 8 PM on Monday, January 13, 2025, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033. Funeral Mass will be at 10 AM on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 206 E. Front St., Harvard, IL 60033. Interment to follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
