Ronald E. Ashcraft

Ronald E. Ashcraft, 82, of Harvard passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.

He was born February 15, 1938, in Harvard, IL to Robert I. and Edna M. Klaman. Ronald served in the United States Marine Corp. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Harvard, IL.

Ronald married Penny L. Austin on August 15, 1964, in Harvard, IL.

Survivors include his wife Penny; children April and Robert Ashcraft; siblings Vernon (Jan) Ashcraft, Edna (George) O’Cock, Ray (Noreen) Ashcraft, Louise Bender, Leona Barton, and Keith (Roxane) Ashcraft.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings Floyd Ashcraft and Marilyn Morris.

A memorial gathering will be held from 11-1 p.m. on Friday, July 24, 2020, at the First Presbyterian Church, 7100 Harvard Hills Road, Harvard, IL 60033. Memorial services will follow at 1 p.m. Due to the pandemic, attendees are required to wear masks and practice social distancing guidelines. Inurnment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock, IL.
