Ronald Anderson Obituary

Ronald T. Anderson, known more affectionately as “Tom” by his Family and Friends, was born on June 25th, 1934 to Louis and Marie (Bansley) Anderson in Cook County, Illinois. He lived his best life, joining the United States Army on June 16th, 1950. His service took him all around the globe. His three tours in Vietnam, time spent traveling, moving duty stations and at wherever home was at the time created an absolutely outstanding Ranger.

Tom’s service is covered with many awards, certificates, and accolades. A brief chat with Tom would highlight his favorite times. You knew because his tell-tale bushy eyebrows would perk up. His time as a Paratrooper, Jumpmaster, Pathfinder and above all else, a Ranger were sure to get the chat going.

He married Audrey Masters in October of 1969. He told her the first day they met that he was going to marry her. She thought he was joking but the joke was on her when he asked for her hand and she said yes.

Tom separated from the Army on July 31st, 1973 after 23 years, one month and 23 days of service to our great Nation. His commitment to service did not stop there. He started his own handyman company and the sky was the limit. Audrey made sure to keep him very busy. She believed he could do anything and everything you can think of.

If not enough, he devoted additional time in McHenry County through the Church and American Legion Post 192. Mr. Anderson is survived by countless siblings, children, grand-children, great-grand-children and fellow Veterans. Rangers, Lead The Way!
