Robert “Bob” Alexander Valos, 80, of Harvard, IL passed away peacefully on Friday, October 4, 2024.
Bob was born on Christmas day in 1943 in Chicago, IL the son of Steve and Grace (Hogan) Valos.
He proudly served in the United States Army. Bob married the love of his life, Virginia A. Broker, in Elmwood Park, IL and they shared countless laughs and smiles throughout their marriage. Bob spent his career in sales, selling windows for Window Wizard before dedicating over 21 years to Home Depot. Bob loved being a husband and father, but he was overjoyed to become a grandfather and then great-grandfather. He loved supporting his grandkids at their sporting events and spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his wife Virginia; children Michele (Henry) Froehlich and David (Rebekah) Tittle; his treasured grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his siblings Georgia Shields of Wheeling, IL, Gregory (Linda) Valos of Lincolnwood, IL, Gracie (Frank) Stringer of Bensenville, IL, and Gloria (Al) Nelson of Glendale Heights, IL; and sister-in-law Georgiana Valos.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Nicholas Valos, and his beloved daughter Heather Lynn Valos.
Visitation will be held from 1 PM until the 4:30 PM prayer service on Sunday, October 13, 2024, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033.
