Robert McCormick

Robert McCormick, 88, of Harvard, passed away at JourneyCare Hospice Facility, Barrington, IL.

He was born February 4, 1932, to Raymond and Eva (Pennington) McCormick in Harvard, IL.

Robert served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Bob worked as a Plumber at Althoff Industries until retirement. Bob and Anita enjoyed wintering for 23 years at Pueblo Sereno Retirement Park in Scottsdale, AZ. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On May 19, 1951, Robert married Anita Brickley in Harvard, IL. She preceded him in death on June 11, 2009.

Survivors include their children Pam (Tim) Reckamp of Harvard, Barry (Ronda) McCormick of Richmond, VA, and Brett (Jane) McCormick of Neenah, WI; 7 grandchildren Kurt (Tina), Kevin (Nina), and Justin (Jane) Reckamp, Nathan (Jessica) and Erica McCormick, Emily (Will) Robinson, and Jesse Miller; 14 great-grandchildren Troy, Isaac, Jace, Myles, Nova, Addison, Leo, Benjamin, Alex, Scarlett, Sloan, Lucy, Mia, and Luke; one sister Kathy McMartin.

He was preceded in death by his parents, spouse, and sisters Dorothy, and Marilyn and brother Tom.

Graveside services will be 1 PM Thursday, December 10, 2020, at Mt. Auburn Cemetery, 20501 Brink Street, Harvard, IL 60033. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Harvard Fire Department, 502 Eastman Street, Harvard, IL 60033.
