Robert Arthur Engel

Robert Arthur Engel, 96, of Harvard, died Mon., Nov. 22, 2021 at Harvard Mercy Care Center.

Robert was born Aug. 22, 1925 to John and Marie (Kretch) Engel in Chicago.  He married Alberta Holland on Dec. 3, 1966 in Elk Grove, IL.  Alberta passed away on May 18, 1971.  Robert was in the Army, and had worked as heavy equipment operator.  He really enjoyed fishing and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marie Engel, wife Alberta, four brothers Nicholas, Eugene, John, and Chuck Engel, four sisters Mary, Ann, Rosemary, and Dorothy, twin siblings in 1918, and sister-in-law Lorraine Engel.

The visitation will be from 2 – 6 PM Fri., Nov. 26 at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033.  There will be a graveside service at 11 AM Mon., Nov. 29 at Memory Gardens, 2501 E. Euclid Ave., Arlington Heights, IL 60004.
