Robert L. Borth

Robert L. Borth, 82, of Rome, GA and formerly Harvard, IL, passed away on November 30, 2024 at his home.

Bob was born on January 23, 1942, in Harvard, IL the son of Gordon and Florence (LeGrand) Borth. He was a graduate of Harvard High School, class of 1960, and went on to serve in the United States Army. On January 22, 1972, he married Sharon S. Dahlke. Bob was an avid Chicago sports fan, and he loved to always be in the sun and near the water. He was someone you could always count on to help you, whether it was to cut your grass or wash your car and was always early to everything with even enough time to change a tire and still be on time for work. Bob was a day trader in the stocks until the day he died and was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be greatly missed.

Bob is survived by his wife Sharon Borth; children Rebecca (Steve) Smith of Rome, GA and William Borth of Poplar Grove, IL; grandchildren Kieran and Jackson Borth of Poplar Grove, IL; brother Gordon (Karen) Borth of Davis, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Gordon and Florence Borth, sister Joyce Rasmussen, and brother Wayne Borth.

Visitation will be on Saturday, January 4, 2025, from 10 AM until the 11 AM memorial service at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033.
