Richard Dean Hangleitner

Richard Dean Hangleitner, 80, of Harvard, IL, passed away on January 22, 2023. Richard was born on December 22, 1942, in Marion, WI, the son of Rudolph and Georgiana (MacKalitzky) Hangleitner. He served as military police in the Army Reserve. Richard was a Union Electrician in the IBEW Local 134. Richard loved animals- horses especially, old tractors, starting new projects, and was a collector of many things. More than anything, Richard loved his family.

Richard is survived by his children Rachael (Chad) Summers of Chandler, AZ, Rebecca Palella of Harvard, IL, Heidi (Scott) Jacobson of Cherry Valley, IL, and Stephanie (Johnathan) Sobotka of Stonington, CT; grandchildren Christopher, Joey, Anthony, Adrianna, Dayne, Oliver, Boden, Alethea, Erica, and Ben; and his sister Jacqueline (Patrick) Coffaro of Mesa, AZ.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents Rudolph and Georgiana Hangleitner, brother Roger Hangleitner, daughter Kathleen Siedler, and ex-wife Cynthia Sobotka.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, from 5 PM until the 7 PM service at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033.
