Ralph Bertis Maynard

Ralph Bertis Maynard, 89, of Poplar Grove passed away on Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Amberwood Care Centre.

Ralph was born October 31, 1933 in Shawneetown, IL to Ralph and Fannie Leona (Arnold) Maynard.  He married the love of his life, Helen Dortch at the Gallatin County Courthouse in Shawneetown, Illinois in 1956.   Ralph served in the US Army.  In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing, camping, and gardening.

Ralph is survived by his daughter Katherine L. (Randall C.) Kosch; his grandchildren Courtney (Josh Widmyer) Kosch and Ryan Kosch; and his great-grandchildren Brody Widmyer, Easton Widmyer, and Austin Kosch, and brother Charles (Deloris) Maynard of Fontana, WI.

He is preceded in death by his wife Helen and his parents Ralph and Fannie.

A visitation will be from 10 AM until the 11 AM funeral service on Fri, March 24, 2023, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, Illinois 60033. Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park.
