Peter F. Kruzicevich, 86, of Harvard, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, June 27, 2026.
Born on January 24, 1940, in Chicago, Peter was the son of the late Peter and Mary Kruzicevich. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1963 to 1965. On October 16, 1965, he married the love of his life, Judy Kiolbassa, at St. Robert's Church in Chicago. Peter worked as an operations manager for Schnadig Furniture until his retirement in 1995.
Peter was a devoted member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Harvard and a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus. He faithfully served on the Board of Directors for the Harvard Community Food Pantry, where he volunteered every Tuesday, generously of his time and compassion to help others.
In his free time, Peter enjoyed fishing, but nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with his family. He was a devoted husband, father, and especially grandfather. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and he treasured every moment with them.
Peter is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judith Kruzicevich; daughters, Joyce (Alan) Strub, Kathleen (Jason) Kopp, and Susan Kruzicevich; grandchildren, Rachel (Zach) Nielsen, Bradley (Kourtney) Strub, and Sarah, Colin, and Jenna Kopp; and great-granddaughters, Gemma and Evelyn Nielsen. He was preceded in death by his sister, Georgian Borchenius.
