Pearl E Schroeder

Pearl E. Schroeder, 96, of Harvard, passed away on March 3, 2023 at Alden Meadow Park in Clinton, WI, losing to a long battle with the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease, but now thrives in Heaven.

She was born on Sept. 23, 1926 to Richard and Pearl (Platke) Vermett in Hebron.  She married Robert “Bob” Schroeder Sr. on Sept. 21, 1946 in Iowa City, Iowa.  Her constant goal in life was taking care and supporting her family.  She enjoyed going to the casino, polkas, and was a Chicago Cubs fan. 

She is survived by her children Linda (Ron) Weidner of Beloit, WI, Robert “Bobby” Schroeder Jr. of Harvard, IL, 7 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, sisters Mary, Betty Lou “Patsy”, brother Jim, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert Sr., sisters Katherine, Anna, Josephine, Berniece, Virginia, and Stella, brothers Richard, Everett, Arthur, Jack, and Robert, and several nieces and nephews.

We would like to thank Alden Meadow Park, Beloit Hospital, and Beloit Regional Hospice for their kind and compassionate care they gave our Mother.

The visitation will be from 4 – 7 PM Wed., March 8 at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033.  The funeral will be 11 AM Thur., March 9 at the funeral home.  Interment will be in Mt. Auburn Cemetery.
