Patricia Ann Perkins, 82, of Harvard, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 24 in her home surrounded by family.
Pat was born February 6, 1939 to Theodore and Marie (Fossler) Delaney in Woodstock, IL. After graduating from Harvard High School in 1957, she worked many years in the High School cafeteria followed by Acro Magnetics. She married the love of her life, Harvey Perkins, on June 21, 1958 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvard.
Pat was known to always have a smile on her face. She loved her family deeply and taught them how to love unconditionally. She was the number one fan not only of her own children but her grandchildren as well. She was always their top supporter at all of their games, concerts and events. Not only would she be there early to reserve the best seats, she’d show up with homemade treats for everyone. Among her friends, Pat was always up for an adventure. Whether it be the dozens of trips to Vegas, countless Cubs games, the endless hunt for the latest Beanie Baby or a simple game of cards, she exuded a passion for life and those she loved.
A dear friend to many and devoted wife to Harvey, she was known to those who loved her as Pat, Honeybun, Grams, Granny and Gramcrackers. She was the best wife, mother and grandmother in the world.
Pat leaves behind her husband of 63 years, Harvey; 3 children: Deborah Furstenau, Donald (Kelly) Perkins and Cynthia Perkins; nine grandchildren: Erin (Nic) Kruckenberg, Renee Pihl, Megan (Cody) Noren, Kurt (Edwin) Perenchio, Jacob (Alejandra) Perkins, Elizabeth (Jake) Perkins, Amanda Krause, Andrea Krause and Kailee (Garrett) Reins; 13 great grandchildren; sister: Carolyn Glade and; sister-in-law: Jean (Bobby) Baldwin.
She was preceded in death by parents Theodore and Marie Delaney, grandson Todd Pihl, brother-in-law Bill Glade and brother-in-law Edward Perkins.
