Mary Ann Bielawa

Mary Ann Bielawa, 82, of Harvard, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2026. Born on September 24, 1943, she was the only child of the late Roy and Wilma Furlong. Mary Ann attended Elmhurst College, where she earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in education. She devoted her life to teaching elementary school children, a vocation she truly loved. In 1975, she was united in marriage to George Bielawa. A devoted “Super Mom,” Mary Ann had a generous spirit and gracefully balanced family life, motherhood, and her career. She was also an avid reader and enjoyed going to bible study. 

Mary Ann is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, George Bielawa; children, Roy and Melissa Bielawa; and grandchildren, Trinity and Makayla Crandall. In death, Mary Ann is reunited with her parents, and stillborn baby, Julie Michelle Bielawa.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 10:00AM until 11:00AM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 700 N. Bloomfield Rd., Lake Geneva, WI, 53147. At 11:00AM, the funeral service will begin.
