Marta (Norheim) Hackman

November 6, 1935 – July 23, 2023 (87 years old)

Marta Hackman of Harvard, IL passed away Sunday, July 23rd at home with her children and friend, Lyle Kleckner.

Marta was born in Stavanger, Norway and came to America on a ship in 1953. She met Claude E. Hackman and were married April 2, 1955. They shared 47 years together before he passed in 2002.

Marta loved God, her family and her special friend, Lyle. She was passionate about the history of her country Norway, freedom in America, the American flag, playing cards, and hosting dinner/tea parties.

She loved watching the corn grow during her car rides to church during the summer.

Marta is survived by her children, Claude I. Hackman (Carina), Neil Hackman (Bonnie) and Ingrid York (Brian), one brother Lloyd Norheim, and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a son, Lloyd Hackman, a brother Leif Norheim, and a great-grandson, Lucas Hackman.

Per family wishes, there will be no services and internment will be private for family.
