Marisol Barranco

Marisol Barranco, 23, of Capron, IL tragically lost her life as the result of a car accident on August 22, 2025, alongside her beloved boyfriend Alexis Antonio Fernandez Garcia.

Marisol was born on September 14, 2001, in Woodstock, IL the daughter of Marisela Diaz-Ortiz and Faustino Barranco. 

Marisol loved her 6 dogs Max, Princess, Paco, Angel, Rosy, and Blue. She enjoyed working out and her dream car was the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. 

Marisol is survived by her parents Faustino and Marisela; her siblings Faustino Barranco Jr., Elisabet Diaz, and Marcos Barranco; her nephew Benjamin and her niece Valeria and her aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

She was preceded in death by Grandmother Columba Ortiz Ortiz, and her cousin Sergio Barranco Tapia. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 2 until 8 PM at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033. Funeral service will be at 1 PM on Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Harvard First Baptist Church, 1102 4th St., Harvard, IL 60033. Interment to immediately follow at Mount Auburn Cemetery in Harvard, IL.
