Lupe Downey

Lupe D. Downey, age 71, of Harvard, IL, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026. Daughter of the late Corando and Antonia (Vasquez) Moya, Lupe was born on February 5, 1954, in Chicago, IL, where she spent her childhood. On August 23, 1986, she was united in marriage to Francis Downey. Lupe’s family was of the most importance in her life, and she loved being a mother and grandmother. In her free time, she enjoyed playing Bingo every week at the Harvard Moose Lodge.

Lupe is survived by her children, Lisa (Joseph) Wolf and Michael Norris; grandchildren, Kristeria, Joseph, and Shane Wolf, Jonathan, Cameron, Cole, and Kennedy Norris; and siblings, Rick (Nancy) Chandler, Peter Moya, Gudalupe (Janet) Moya, and Corando Moya; and many nieces and nephews. In death she is reunited with her husband, Francis; parents, Corando and Antonia; and brothers, Ruben and Paul Moya.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
