Lois Annette (Graham) Baumann of Harvard passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 7th, 2021 at Maple Crest Nursing Home.
Lois was born April 13, 1926, to Andrew and Genevieve Graham in Chicago, IL. Lois married Roger Baumann on April 20, 1963, in Mt. Carroll, IL, and then moved to Harvard, IL where they spent the rest of their lives together. Lois worked at Harvard Jr. High as a secretary for 20 years until she retired to pursue her passion for living life to its fullest. She was a very talented artist, loved to sew and knit, and was always baking. Her warmth and friendliness were infectious; she was the life of the party and everyone loved being around her. She was an avid churchgoer and enjoyed singing in the choir. She was the best mother, grandma, great-grandma, friend, and animal-lover you could ever wish for.
Survivors include her daughters Peggy (Mickey) Ulmer of Harvard and Caryn Still of Harvard. Five grandchildren Mike (Emilie) Ulmer of Huntley, Jason Ulmer of Harvard, Nicholas (Valerie) Kretchmer of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Allison (Steve) Nulle of Harvard, and Melissa Wojcik of Lake Geneva, WI; 10 great-grandchildren Caitlynn (22), Zachary (15), Nathan (13), Logan (13), Olivia (10), Tinley (8), Alexis (20), Parker (14), Alena (10), Gianna (11mo.)
She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Genevieve Graham, spouse Roger Baumann, her brother Bob Graham, and sister Dorothy Nash.
Services will be April 17th at 3:00 at Trinity Lutheran Church and due to Covid restrictions, services at Trinity Lutheran Church will be for private family only. We will be having a celebration of life for Roger and Lois Baumann after the service at Peggy and Mickey Ulmer’s house at 5:00 p.m., everyone is invited.
