Leona Louise Miller Heffran, also known as GG/Aunt Yo, 84, of Harvard passed away peacefully in her sleep. Leona was born April 27, 1937, in East Saint Louis, Illinois, to Myrtle and Ernest Miller.
Leona enjoyed swimming, dancing, her large family, and collecting Native American and Angel paraphernalia. She had many hobbies and interests, but her favorites were dancing with the children, cooking, bingo, scrabble and backgammon and occasional Battleship game at times. Her spirit filled the room with love and happiness, which will be the memory, cherished the most.
Survivors include her children, Rose (Willie) Hope, Shirley, Theresa, twins Karen and Kathy, Thomas Jr, Mike (Kathy) Heffran, Mary Johnson, 11 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and loved by many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents, sister Betty Tharp, and brother Gene Miller.
A celebration of life will be held by the family at a later date.
