Laurette J McSweeney

Laurette Julia McSweeney, of Harvard, passed away Sat., Dec. 25 at Mercy Harvard Hospital.

Laurette was born Jan. 25, 1938 to Andrew and Grace (Francis) Lee in Burlington, Vermont.  On Nov. 13, 1965, she married Bob McSweeney in Harvard.  She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, really enjoyed painting and cake decorating, and loved animals.

Surviving family includes her children Jennifer (Greg) Majewicz, Julianne (Bruce) Tracey, and Sean (Frankie) McSweeney, grandchildren Caitlin Davis, Austin Tracey, Teagen McSweeney, Brett Tracey, and Killian McSweeney, great-grandchildren Hailey Davis, Mason (Davis), and Penelope (Davis), and sisters Andrea (Mike) Dattilio, Joanne (Bob) Carlson, Donna Wells, and Sandra (Jerry)(Snyder).

She was preceded in death by her parents Andrew and Grace, husband Bob, and brother Jon (Claudette) Lee.

The visitation will be 4 – 8 PM Wed., Dec. 29 at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033.  The funeral will be at 11 AM Thur., Dec. 30 at the funeral home.  Interment will be at McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock.
