Kathleen F Yates

Kathleen Yates, 79, of Garden Prairie, died on Monday, November 29, 2021.

Kathleen was born Sept 1, 1942, in Janesville, WI to Charles and Julia (Meier) Anderson.  She married James Harold Yates on April 7, 1962 in Harvard. In life, Kathleen worked for Jones Packing for many years. She was passionate about agriculture, fishing, and planting and harvesting crops around the farm. She also spent over 35 years as part of the Elections Committee.

Kathleen is survived by her husband James H. Yates; son Kevin Yates; brother Joe (Elizabeth) Anderson, and sisters Sharon Burnett, Charlene (Dennis) Fairbanks, Margie (Tom) Condon, Lynn Vermett, and Rita Jo (Rollie) Peters.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Julia Anderson; brother Edward Anderson, and sister Nancy Wells.

There will be a memorial gathering from 1-3 PM, Wed., Dec. 8 at First Presbyterian Church at 7100 Harvard Hills Rd. Harvard, IL 60033. The memorial service will follow at 3 PM.
