Karen L. Kummerow

Karen L. Kummerow, 80 of Harvard, IL died Monday, December 19, 2022 at St. Anthony's hospital in Rockford, IL.  
She was born, March 14, 1942 in Chicago, to Walter C. Kummerow, Sr. and Lorraine (Erickson) Kummerow.   She was preceded in death by her parents, her sisters: Leslie Eitmontas and Samatha Kummerow-Held and brother Walter C. Kummerow, Jr.  
Karen is survived by niece Julie Eitmontas, by nephew Jonathan; Tracy, Isabel, Ashley & Caitlyn Eitmontas, her sister-in-law Ann Kummerow, by nephew Chris Kummerow, by nephew Chad; Michelle & Maisy Kummerow, by nephew Andrew; Megan, Charlie, Connor & Lucy Kummerow and by brother-in-law, John Held.

Karen was an Insurance Underwriter for 50 years at W.C. Kummerow & Co.  She joined the Big Foot Country Club in 1975 and was a club champion 3 times in 1979, 1989 & 2002.  She was President of the BFCC Ladies' Golf from 2005-2007.  She also represented the BFCC for many years on the golf team.  Most recently, she was a member of both the BFCC Women's Bridge Club and the Harvard Retired Ladies clubs.  Karen throughly enjoyed playing cards and socializing with all her friends.
