Karen Butts

Karen Louise Butts, 66, of Harvard, Illinois, passed away peacefully in her home on June 20, 2023.

Karen was born on October 15, 1956, in Harvard, the daughter of Albert and Gertrude (Terpstra) Hellenga. On June 23, 1973, she married Franklyn R. Butts at the Delavan Christian Reformed Church in Delavan, Wisconsin. Karen did tech support for gas stations and spent many years as a homemaker before retiring. Karen will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and treasured friend.

Karen is survived by her children Gretta Butts, Joseph Butts, Mark Butts, Matthew Butts, and Frank Butts, Jr.; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband Franklyn; her parents; and her four siblings Peter, Bernard, Alan, and Susan.
