Julia Castañeda, 68, of Darien, WI died on October 6, 2025, at her home in Darien, WI.
Julia was born on July 7, 1957, in Las Vueltas, Mexico to David Carbajal and Teresa Cruz
Survivors include her husband Adolfo Castañeda; children Mauricio (Emilia) Castañeda of Delavan, WI, Gisela (Scott) Dittner of Janesville, WI, Maria Castañeda of Elkhorn, WI, Marco (Yesenia) Castañeda of Woodstock, IL, Ana (Raymundo) Ortiz of Lake Geneva, WI, and Sonja (Irving) Araoz of Lake Geneva, WI; siblings Romulo (Alberta) Carbajal of Las Vueltas, Mexico, Adulfo (Elvira) Carbajal of Harvard, IL, and Juvencio (Maria de Jesus) of Las Vueltas, Mexico; 20 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her sisters Margarita Carbajal and Ines Carbajal and her stepson Adon Castañeda.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 PM on Monday, October 13, 2025, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033.
