Judy Lynn Streit

Judy Lynn Streit, 74 of Capron, IL, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday September 7, 2024.

Judy was born on January 15, 1950, in Woodstock, IL the daughter of John and Velma Jean (Ihrke) Ellison.  She married her high school sweetheart Steven F. Streit on July 20, 1968, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Harvard, IL.  

Judy, more than anything, loved spending time with her family, friends, and her precious dog Sammy.  She was an avid gardener and loved her flowers and staying busy outdoors. Judy looked forward to the NFL season where she would proudly cheer on the Green Bay Packers. She loved her time working as a secretary for many years for Harvard School District 50.  

Judy is survived by her children Todd (Kristie) Streit of Poplar Grove, IL, Tyler (Lynette) Streit of Capron, IL, and Sommer (Thomas) Chisamore of Roscoe, IL; 7grandchildren, Matthew (Megan) Streit, Taylor (Austin) Bielski, Logan and Jagur Streit and Brodie, Bailey and Brianna Chisamore. 5 great-grandchildren Tennley, Audrey, and Everly Streit and Fowler and Dutton Bielski; her sisters Jill (Allen)Brewer of Holman, WI and Jeanine (Rick)Lester of Lake Placid, Florida and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Steven, her parents, brother Jerry Ellison, and her in-laws Francis and Shirley Streit.

Judy will be sadly missed by her family.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 4 until 8 PM, with food being served from 5-6:30 PM, on Thursday, September 19, 2024, at the Harvard Moose Lodge, 22500 Route 173 Harvard, IL 60033.
