John Michael Weldon, known to his friends and family as Jack, was born May 6, 1954, in Chicago, IL. He passed away peacefully on January 15, 2022, at the age of 67.
Jack was known for his kindness, good humor, gentle nature, and artistry. He loved his family and many friends dearly. He also loved his pets, a good bonfire, and the outdoors. He was a master of jokes and accents and an avid Chicago sports fan.
Jack was a talented tradesman for Comet Die & Engraving in Elmhurst, where his career spanned over 4 decades. Many of his hand engravings are treasured by family and friends.
Jack was a resident of Harvard, IL for over 30 years and is survived by his loving wife Donna of 37 years and his stepsons Eric (Shelly) Hintz and Kelton (Shellie) Hintz.
He was the son of the late John and June Weldon (nee Driscoll). Jack had two brothers and two sisters, his sister Donna (Carmen) Boensch who preceded him in death, Patrick (Kyla) Weldon, Daniel Weldon, and Junemarie (Tom) Justus.
Jack was the loving uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Jack and Donna were grateful to Eric, Shelly, and their family for their love and care during the final chapter of his life. He cherished them, their children, and grandchild as his own.
Interment service to be held at 10:30 am on February 12th in the chapel at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery & Mausoleums. 1400 S. Wolf Road Hillside, IL
