John "Coach" Gentry Obituary
John W. “Coach” Gentry, 76, of Harvard, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 19, 2023. Coach was born on December 13, 1946, in Vincennes, IN, the son of Kenneth and Mary (Karr) Gentry.
Coach proudly served in the US Army. He was a huge fan of the Chicago Cubs and enjoyed socializing at local establishments, particularly The Hub Lounge.
Coach is survived by his sister Lynn Harvey, nephews Gregory (Lisa) Gentry, Westley Gentry (Sandy), and Brad Gentry; great-nieces Nicole, Haley, Cassie, Jessica, & Brittney; great-nephew Greg; as well as numerous friends.
Coach was preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Mary; siblings Kenneth and Robert
A Celebration of Life will be planned for a later date.
