John A. Rychlock

John A. Rychlock 57, of Huntley and formerly Harvard, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 21, 2023. John was born on March 11, 1966, in Chicago, IL, the son of John R. and Janice A. (Nelson) Rychlock.

John graduated from Dundee-Crown High School in Carpentersville, IL, class of 1984. John then went on to Northern Illinois University. He worked in hospitality from the time he was in his early 20’s, advancing to hotel manager, until he had his stroke when he was 47 years old.  John was a gentle soul with a good sense of humor. John was generous, dependable, and good with people. He loved listening to music and playing with his dogs. John had a favorite dog, Jack, who went everywhere with him. John enjoyed being with his friends and loved helping others.  He had a fondness for golfing, reading books, collecting comic books, and playing video games with his nephews.  John cherished being an uncle.

John is survived by his mother Janice A. Rychlock of Algonquin, IL; his brother Brian T. Rychlock of Montgomery, AL; his sister Candice L. (Greg A.) Rychlock-Poliquin of Harvard, IL; nephews Zackery R Poliquin of Harvard, IL and Drake A. Poliquin of Belleville, MI; as well as his Aunt Karen L. Nelson of Elk Grove Village, IL.

He was preceded in death by his father John Ronald Rychlock.

Per John’s wishes, there will be no service. Cremation rites will be accorded, and a private inurnment will take place in East Dundee Township Cemetery at a later date.
