Janice Colcord

Janice Colcord, 81, of Capron, IL passed away on Tuesday, February 27th at Northwestern Medicine in Huntley.

She was born on October 20, 1942 in Woodstock to Arthur and Elva (Bauman) Colcord.

Janice had a great interest in horses. She was the proud owner of several horses throughout the years and was a member of the Quarter Horses Association. She also enjoyed needle point, going to craft shows, and taking her nieces and nephews on excursions.

Janice is survived by her siblings David Colcord and Joyce (Dave) Bauer, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Elva, grandparents, and siblings James, Joan, and sister-in-law Joanne.

A visitation will take place from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday, March 12 at Saunders Funeral Home, 1745 S. Eastwood Drive, Woodstock. A service will take place the following day, Wednesday, March 13 at 11 AM at Saunders Funeral Home. Interment will be at McHenry County Memorial Park, Woodstock.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Janice’s honor can be made to the Capron Volunteer Fire & Rescue, 120 Ogden Street, Capron, IL, 61012.
