Janet (Denton) Wood

Janet E. Wood, 76, of Belvidere, Illinois passed away on June 27, 2022 at Maple Crest Care Centre. Janet was born on December 19, 1945 in Farina, Illinois daughter of Ralph and Freda (Hayes) Denton. She married Ken D. Wood and the pair was blessed with three sons. Janet was a hardworking and dedicated woman. Janet was a talented painter and her artwork will be admired for many years to come. She enjoyed working in the yard and playing with her dogs. Janet loved her family more than anything and was very proud of them. Janet especially adored her grandchildren and appreciated her time with them.

Janet is survived by her sons John (Kristin) Wood of Earlville, Illinois, Ryan Wood of Harvard, Illinois and Stephen (Michelle) Wood of Spring Grove, Illinois; four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister Sharon Walt of Rockford, Illinois; and brother Gene (Sandy) Denton of Rockford, Illinois; and sister-in-law Carol Denton of Cortland, Illinois

Janet was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Wood and brother Ed Denton.
