Jamie Michael Finfrock, 45, of Harvard, died unexpectedly on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
Jamie was born May 6, 1979, to Samuel and Diane (McCoy) Finfrock in Harvard, IL.
Jamie grew up in Harvard. He had many adventures in school, he was a play every sport guy. After High School Jamie went to the SanDiego Golf Academy in Orlando, Fl. He graduated with an associate’s degree in golf course management. He went to work at the Waterford Golf Club in Venice, FL. Jamie played many of the great golf courses in Florida, he also attended PGA conventions to increase his exposure to the new equipment offered to course managers.
Then Jamie moved back to Harvard. He worked many jobs until he landed a job with the labor’s union. He was on his way to start work in Maryland when tragedy struck. Jamie passed before he departed Illinois.
Jamie was a devoted uncle to Emma, Jacob, and Kason. Jamie could have been coined as the proudest uncle ever. He enjoyed supporting them at their extra activities. He always made time for pictures with them at Prom, Homecoming and sporting events. He had a special relationship with his niece and nephews. Jamie loved seeing the kids daily. Many times, he would see them out, then go out to play baseball with them.
Jamie enjoyed playing in the HUB Pool League, and golfing at the Beaver Creek Golf Course. Jamie was my wild child. He loved life. Spending time with his Family and friends were top on his list.
Everyone would tell me what a good man he was. Always ready to help on any project.
I will miss Jamie for the rest of my life. Love you son.
Survivors include his father Samuel Finfrock, sister-in-law Amy Finfrock.
He was preceded in death by his mother Diane L Finfrock, brother Joseph John Finfrock, grandmothers Jean Owen and Icaletisha McCoy, and Grandfather John L McCoy.
