Howard Kimball Obituary

Howard William "Rusty" Kimball died on January 15th 2024 in Henderson, Nevada. He was born on February 4th 1951 in Woodstock, Illinois.  

Rusty grew up in the Woodstock, Harvard, Elgin area.  He served in the US army from 1970 until 1972 and was stationed in Germany.  Rusty worked as a finish trim carpenter for many years. He went on to work for Wilsonart International as a flooring installation specialist and traveled extensively. He retired in 2007.

Rusty is preceded in death by his father William Kimball, his mother Marcella Grunst, dear sister Violet Smith Hoogkirk and sister in-law Joyce Reidl.

He is survived by his wife Kathryn Kimball, step-sons Christopher Nyczaj and Jonathan (Erin) Nyczaj. Sisters Eleanor (Ken) Smothers, Marcie (Ernie) Lenard. Brothers Raymond Reidl,  Samuel (Bev) Reidl, Gerald (Ann) Reidl, Victor (Mary Lou) Reidl and Steven (Deb) Grunst.  Grandchildren Jacob, Evie, Eli, Ethan and JJ, numerous nieces and nephews. 

A Celebration of Life service will take place at 11 AM on Saturday, May 4th 2024 at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner Street in Harvard. Inurnment with military honors immediately following at Dunham-Chemung Cemetery.
