Helen Marie Maynard

Helen Marie Maynard, 84, of Poplar Grove passed away on Sunday, September 18, 2022, at Amberwood Care Centre. Helen was born on September 26, 1937, in Paris, Tennessee, the daughter of Herman and Isabelle (Ransom) Dortch. She married the love of her life, Ralph B. Maynard at the Gallatin County Courthouse in Shawneetown, Illinois in 1956.

Helen is survived by her beloved husband, Ralph; her daughter Katherine L. (Randall C.) Kosch; her grandchildren Courtney (Josh Widmyer) Kosch and Ryan Kosch; and her great-grandchildren Brody Widmyer, Easton Widmyer, and Austin Kosch.

Helen is preceded in death by her siblings Frank Dortch, Rita Stipanov, Dorothy Alejandro, and David Dortch.

A visitation will be from 9 AM until the 10 AM funeral service on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, Illinois 60033. Interment will be in McHenry County Memorial Park.
