Harry Eugene Bauman

Harry Eugene Bauman, 98, of Florida passed away on Wed. June 26, 2024 at Lakeland Healthcare Center in Elkhorn, WI.

Harry was born May 16, 1926 to Frank and Amelia (Anderson) Bauman in Walworth, WI.  He was a Navy Veteran that served during WWII and later became a contractor for Bauman Builders.

Harry was a loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, gardening, playing solitaire, and building things for his grandkids.  He was on the volunteer Harvard Fire Department, a member of the American Legion Post 265, Harvard Moose Lodge, and Lions International, coached little league baseball, and was a Alden Township Road Commissioner, Alderman for the 4th ward in Harvard in 1968, and a Chairman for Harvard Milk Days in 1969.

He is survived by his children Marilyn Ohlenroth Nash and David (Barbara Kinas) Bauman, grandchildren Genny (Jeff) Miller, Krystal (Andy Houser) Ohlenroth, Josh (Becky) Ohlenroth, Tyson (Amber) Bauman, Nick (Libby) Bauman, Jared (Jessica) Bauman, Jonas (Oliva) Bauman, Caine Bauman, Jane Kinas, Alyshia (Michael) Hart, and Stephanie (Trent) Raupp, and 22 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, son Dwight E. Bauman on May 16, 1963, past spouse Ramona Bauman on June 16, 2022, siblings Frances (Howard) Walsh, Margie Alt, Helen Hooper, Frank Bauman, Jim (Valarie) Bauman, and Lawrence (Marie) Bauman, and half brothers Royal (Irma) Bauman, and Ronnie Bauman, and stepbrothers Howard, Russel, and Dexter Barrows.

There will be a memorial gathering from 10 AM until the 12 Noon service on Thurs., July 11, 2024 at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033.  Inurnment will follow at Mt. Auburn Cemetery in Harvard.
