Gilbert (Gil) P. Provo

Gilbert “Gil” P. Provo, 77, of Harvard, IL passed away on December 1, 2025.

Gil was born on May 6, 1948, in Belgium, the son of Juliette (DeGraeve) and Charles Ludwig Provo. He came to the United States with his parents when he was 11 years old.

After high school, Gil proudly served in the Army in Vietnam. He spent his career in graphic arts. Gil married Bernice M. Kilar on April 11, 1998, in Chicago, IL.

Gil was a devoted family man and took very good care of his beloved wife Bernice. He enjoyed life on their small hobby farm, especially planting and lovingly tending to their animals. Gil was intelligent and friendly and will be remembered as a kind and supportive husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

Gil is survived by his wife Bernice; children Kristine (Derek) Blackwelder of Guilford, NH, Frank Lenner Jr. of Warrenville, IL, and Andrew M. (Sonia) Lenner of Round Lake Beach, IL; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was reunited in death with his parents Charles and Juliette Provo.
