Gertrud (Kipping) Quinn

Gertrud Quinn, 80, of Harvard passed away on Monday, December 21, 2020, at Northwestern Medicine Huntley Hospital.

She was born March 21, 1940, in Hof, Germany. Gertrud worked as a clerk for United Airlines. Gertrud married Martin V. Quinn, he preceded her in death on October 22, 2012.

She enjoyed watching birds, gardening, and her cat.

Survivors include her children Michael and Daniel Quinn; grandchildren Nicole (Jacob) Beetstra, Matthew (Jessica) Bialek, James Quinn, Joseph Quinn, and Nora Quinn; Great-grandchildren Shelby Chirznowski, Jaxson Beetstra, Gatlin Beetstra, Sabastian Broumett, and Alec Broumett.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter Margaret K. Quinn.

Visitation will be 10- 12 p.m. Tuesday, December 29, 2020, at Saunders and McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St. Harvard, IL 60033. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 206 E. Front St. Harvard, IL. Interment will be in River Valley Cemetery, West Dundee, IL.

Due to the pandemic, we are under certain restrictions. Currently, we are only allowed 10 people in at one time, and everyone must wear a mask as well as practice social distancing.
