Geraldine "Geri" (Podjasek) Platt

Geraldine Platt, 73, of Marengo, Illinois passed away on November 13, 2022, at her home. Geri was born on November 18, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois to Aloysius and Florence (Jachowski) Podjasek. She married Thomas Platt in Germany on May 12, 1967. Geri was content with a simple, quiet life. She spent a lot of time reading. Above all, she was a caregiver for her family. She kept an extremely neat, tidy, and beautiful home.  

Geraldine is survived by her children Kimberly (Mark) Neville, James (Michelle) Platt, grandchildren Benjamin Platt, Maxwell (Shiyao Sun) Neville, Mary Grace Neville, William Platt, Allison Kratz, great-grandchild Cole Platt, siblings Jacqueline Gagen, Deborah Keeling, and Louis Glowacki Jr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Platt, parents Aloysius and Florence, stepfather Louis Glowacki Sr., and sister Alberta Vinton.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, November 19, 2022, from 10:00 AM until noon at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner Street Harvard, Illinois 60033. Services to follow, officiated by Deacon Mike.
