Fred A. Krohn of Harvard, IL went home to be with the Lord at the age of 85 on July 12, 2025, at JourneyCare Hospice facility. Fred was born on April 27, 1940, in Deerfield, IL.
He served in the Navy at 19 years old and was honorably discharged due to medical reasons. Fred married Sally Morse and had 3 children and worked at Chrysler for 40 years. He loved woodworking in his basement, the Green Bay Packers, and the Wisconsin Badgers. Fred liked Friday the 13th and Jaws and enjoyed Western movies.
Fred is survived by his 3 daughters Suzanne Krohn of Harvard, Debra (Jared) Luedtke of WI, and Christie (Kevin) Huff of Harvard; 5 grandkids Morgan (Isaiah) Hoyt, Kevin (Brittney) Firth Jr., Jacob Firth, Elliott Firth, and Johnathan Walls; great-grandchild Madalyn; and his sister Barb (Dave) Nieman. He loved them all and the mother of his children.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Marie and Lyle Krohn, sister Francis Krohn, wife Sally Morse, grandson Chaston Firth, and great-granddaughter Nicole.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2025, from 10 AM until 12 Noon at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033. A graveside service will follow at Mt. Auburn Cemetery at 12:30 PM, 20501 Brink St., Harvard, IL 60033.
