Flora A. Caulfield, 91, of Harvard, IL passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024, at Valley Hi Nursing and Rehab.
She was born on December 4, 1932, in Chicago, IL the daughter of Lester and Florence (Schumacher) Hohmann.
Flora married William M. Caulfield Jr. on April 28, 1951, in Chicago, IL. She worked as a sales associate for Cook’s Department Store for 16.5 years and for 5 years at JCPenney at Spring Hill Mall. Bill and Flora retired to Salem, AK before returning to Harvard in 2016.
Flora was an avid reader, and she loved to play games and gamble, especially the slot machines and bingo. Her favorite thing to do was go shopping. More than anything, Flora loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughters Debra (Keith) Muench of Kingston, IL, Robin (Rick) Strauss of Harvard, IL, and Cheryl (Gary) Rathmann of Woodstock, IL; grandchildren Nicole (Keith) Sphar of Woodstock, IL, Lindsey Strauss of Harvard, IL, Troy Muench of Genoa, IL, and Trevor Muench of Kingston, IL; great-grandchildren Emaleigh and Chase Sphar; and brother John Hohmann.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Bill, and brothers Marvin and Henry Hohmann.
Per Flora’s wishes, she will be cremated.
