Evelyn Blank

Harvard- Evelyn L. Blank, 89, of Harvard, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2021 at her residence in Huntley. She was born December 21, 1931 in Harvard to Clarence and Hazel (Hart) Whitacre. She married Ollie Blank on October 28, 1950 in Harvard. He died December 23, 2014.

Evelyn was one of the original dispatchers for the Harvard Rescue Squad of which Ollie helped start.  She was a longtime member of the Harvard Moose, a very talented crafter and wonderful cook.  She enjoyed doing puzzles, was a very talented crafter and loved feeding her birds, squirrels and chipmunks in her backyard. You could always find her at a slot machine with her wonderful smile.  She always greeted everyone with a smile, loved family time and most of all she loved being a grandma.

Evelyn is survived by three children, Debra Stevenson of Beloit, WI, Doug (Jeanne) Blank of Orlando, FL and Tammy (Jeff) Pankonin of Carpentersville; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Darlene Lloyd of Lodi, WI.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Ollie and two sisters, Joyce and Wilma.
