Esther "Kelly" Hohol

Esther Kelly Hohol, age 72, of Wonder Lake, IL, passed away at home on Tuesday, September 16, 2025. “Kelly” was born on June 2, 1953, in Chicago, to Manuel and Kelly (Salazar) Toledo. Kelly married the love of her life, John J. Hohol, on April 15, 1972. Kelly joined John in the field of law enforcement and worked as a dispatcher for the police department.

Kelly enjoyed sewing, shopping, boating, and making jewelry. She also had a love for all animals.

Kelly is survived by her two sons, John J. (Amanda) Hohol Jr. and Vincent M. (Sara) Hohol; John Jr.’s son, Sebastian; sister, Aracelia Toledo; and niece, Ciara Liz Medina. Extended surviving family members include, nephew and niece Rito & Beverly (Sadowski) Lopez, their children, Rito Frank Lopez III and Miranda Marie Lopez, and their granddaughters, Jayla and Gabriella; sisters-in-law Terrie Hohol and Bernadine Bokowski, and Terrie’s children, Dawn Dow, Rhonda Rhodes, and Shawn Hohol.

In death, she is reunited with her loving and devoted husband John, who preceded her in death on May 30, 2025; their daughter, Carina Hohol; parents, Manuel and Kelly Toledo; sister, Acenceion (Cindy) Toledo; as well as siblings-in-law, Betty (Ted) Sadowski and Frank Hohol. 

Friends and family are invited to visitation on Wednesday, October 15, 2025, from 3:00PM until 6:00PM at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner St., Harvard, IL 60033.
