Elzbieta "Ela" Davis Obituary

Elzbieta (Ela) Davis, age 52, of Harvard, IL and formerly Ringwood, IL, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2025.

Ela was born on December 19, 1972, in a small town in Poland to Zdzislaw and Irena (Wesolowska) Starsiak. She moved through life with a heart full of love. Her days were marked by unwavering positivity and deep compassion that left a lasting impact on everyone she met.

On April 18, 1998, Ela married the love of her life, Daniel Davis. Together they built a beautiful life and raised three daughters. Ela was a devoted wife and mother, and her family was always at the center of her world.

A gifted teachers assistant, Ela touched the lives of countless children and families through her gentle guidance, creativity, laughter, and patience. Her compassion extended far beyond the classroom - she had a remarkable ability to make everyone she met feel seen, valued, and loved.

Ela faced everything in life with quiet strength and unshakable endurance. A dedicated runner, she completed multiple marathons and half marathons, each mile a testament for her resilience and determination. Her commitment didn’t stop at the finish line; she worked out nearly every day, often for two hours, not out of vanity but out of deep respect for her body and belief in showing up for herself and being strong for her family. Whether in training, being a mom, or in the hardest moments of life, Ela moved with a heart that never gave up.

Ela found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved spending time in her garden, buttering flowers and fresh produce with the same care and tenderness she gave to those around her. She cherished working side by side with her husband, “Danny”, that brought them closer. She also loved going on new adventures, especially with her daughter Katelyn, who lovingly dragged her into - embracing each journey with laughter and an open heart.

Ela is survived by her loving husband, Dan; her daughters Jacklyn (Garrett) Basista, Alicia Davis, and Katelyn Davis; her cherished grandchildren, Dj, Bentley, and Waylon; her sister Bozena Orszulak; and her brother, Rysiek Starsiak.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents.
