Eileen M. Anderson, 73, passed away on December 28, 2025. Eileen, the youngest of eight children, was born in Harvard, IL to Arthur and Vivian Kruckenberg. Eileen spent her whole life in Harvard and graduated from Harvard High School, where she made several life-long friends. Eileen married the love of her life, Edward "Cobb" Anderson, on October 20,1973. Cobb gave Eileen her nickname of Big Red, which quickly worked its way through the family, some even referring to her as “Aunt Red”.
Cobb and Eileen spent many wonderful years together. They especially enjoyed going up north to their camper with family, friends, and the grandkids. Eileen was an amazing and loving mother and grandmother and cherished her time with her girls, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all.
Eileen is survived by her three loving daughters, Lisa (Bennie) Gonzalez, Laurie (Scott) Monahan, and Lea (Don) Carlson; her grandchildren, David (Jessie) Gonzalez, Jay and Aubry Gonzalez, Addye and Robyn Anderson, Noah (Alyssa) Carlson, Berkley Carlson, and Malin Pantaleo; and four great grandchildren, Benjamin and Evelyn Gonzalez and Oliver and Maddie Carlson. She is also survived by her brothers, Kenneth (Sandy) Kruckenberg, Victor (Sandra) Kruckenberg, and Arthur (Meg) Kruckenberg; sisters in-law, Jeanette Kruckenberg, Sharon Burnett, Charlene (Dennis) Fairbanks, Margie Condon, Rita (Rollie) Peters, and Lynn Vermett; brothers in-law, Jim Yates, Delbert Wells, and Joseph Anderson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Eileen was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, her mother and father in-law, Charles and Julia Anderson; her sister, Jean Harnisch; her brothers, George, James, and Chester Kruckenberg; and several dear brothers and sisters in-law.
Memorial visitation will be held from 11:00 AM-1:00 PM on Friday, January 2nd at St. Paul Lutheran Church,1601 Garfield Rd. Harvard, IL. Memorial service will take place at 1:00 PM, immediately following visitation.
