Edward Quintanilla, 59, of Rockford passed away on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, at Swedish American Hospital, Rockford, IL.

He was born August 13, 1961, in Aurora, IL; the son of the late Elias and Francisca (Cantu) Quintanilla.

Edward worked many years for Deans. He enjoyed watching baseball and loved having a good time with family and friends. Edward served in the United States Army Infantry Division.

Survivors include his children Diana Quintanilla, and Kelly Quintanilla; grandchildren Luis Quintanilla, and Harvey Quintanilla; siblings Minnie Huizar, and Elias Quintanilla.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Nancy Ortega Quintanilla; and three sisters Sylvia, Mary and Emma.

Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, May 7, 2021, at Saunders & McFarlin Funeral Home, 107 W. Sumner Street, Harvard, IL 60033. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 8, 2021, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Capron Cemetery, Capron, IL.
